Tatyana Baryshnikova

Tatyana Baryshnikova (1971, Klaipeda, Lithuanian SSR) – Doctor of  Philology, associate professor of the Department of the Russian and Slav languages of the University of Latvia.

Tatyana Baryshnikova was born  on 27 July 1971 in Klaipeda, Lithuanian SSR. She graduated from the faculty of  Philology of the University of  Latvia in 1993. Worked as a teacher of the Russian language and literature, history of culture and philosophy. In 1999 finished post-graduate studies at Latvian Academy of Culture (speciality -  Theory and history of culture). T.Baryshnikova has been working at the University of  Latvia since 2002. Her research sphere are  - creative activities of M.Tsvetayeva, the inheritance of the Russian culture in Latvia and the problems of teaching Russian as a foreign language in Latvia.
