Nina Bogolyubova

Nina Bogolyubova (1925, Rezekne, Republic of Latvia – 2013, Riga, Republic of Latvia) – Doctor of Philology, assistant professor of the Chair of Russian language, Department of philology of the University of Latvia.

Nina Bogolyubova studied in Abrene gymnasium (now - Pytalovo) and  at the University of Latvia, faculty of philology. After graduation in 1948 she was granted the qualification of «philologist».

From 1950 to 1952 she did a post graduate course in Latvian Pedagogical Institute specializing in «Comparative grammar of the Latvian and Russian languages» and defended a candidate thesis. Her scientific supervisor was professor J. Endzelin.

N. Bogolyubova worked at Latvian Pedagogical Institute where she taught linguistic sciences, then at the University of Latvia. She is the author of over 20 scientific works on comparative grammar of the Russian and Latvian languages.
