Irina Vinnik

Irina Vinnik (1948, Halle, Germany) – journalist, public leader, deputy of Riga City Council from 2007 to 2020.

She worked as freelance journalist in the newspaper  «Sovyetskaya Molodezh». Irina Vinnik was a special I. Vinnik correspondent of the TV «Ostankino»; for Latvia, created and broadcast  "The News" in Russian on TV. I.Vinnik was the author of the popular broadcasts "The Eighth Floor",'The Favourite City Riga' etc. From 2003 to 2008 she was the head of the Departament for the Affairs of National minorities. Since 2009 deputy of Riga City Council.
