Inna Bergman

Inna Bergman (1936, Moscow, Russian SFSR – 2017, Republic of Latvia) – Doctor of Philology. Taught at the Department of Russian Philology of the  University of Latvia for many years.

Inna Bergman  was born in Russia but in 1946 the family moved to Riga. Inna Bergman graduated from the faculty of Philology of the University of Latvia - speciality: the Russian language and literature. From 1961 to 1995  worked at the University of Latvia at the faculty of Philology as a lecturer as assistant professor. In 1975 defended a thesis for a candidate degree. She is the author of textbooks on the Russian and Latvian literary connections and perceptions of the Russian literature in Latvia. Since 2001 has a position of executive director of the museum "Pushkin and the Baltic", established in Pushkin lyceum in Riga, has been head of social organization "Society of Krishyan Baron".
