Georgy Goncharenko (Yuri Galich)
Georgy Goncharenko (literary pseudonym – Yuri Galich; 1877-1940) – general, poet, writer, journalist. Tsarist officer attained the rank of General in the Provisional Government. Lived in Riga from 1923. Committed suicide in 1940 after being summoned by the NKVD (Soviet political police).
