‘The Rules of Paulucci’

‘The Rules of Paulucci’.  In 1813, with the aim of bringing order to the life of the Old Believers’ society and to the management of their extensive economy a statute was passed which was ratified in 1827 by the Governor-General, the Marquis Philippe Paulucci. The ‘Rules of Paulucci’ gave the Old Believers greater freedom in the management of their affairs.
