Life and Culture, the publishing house

Life and Culture - the most famous Russian publishing house in pre-war Latvia. Published 75 books, and also collections of essays by Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Pushkin, Lermontov and Turgenev. Publishing houses of Riga published books not only of Russian classics and émigré writers but also by Soviet authors.
