Janis Čakste (1859 – 1927)

Jānis Čakste (1859 – 1927) – graduate of the Moscow University Faculty of Law, barrister, one of the founders of the Independent Latvian state. First President of Latvia (1922 – 1927) – proponent of democratic principles and tolerance towards national minorities.
