Construction of Centres of culture, medicine and sport

Planning such facilities as the Riga Congress Centre (1982), the ‘Gaiļezers’ Hospital Complex (1970 – 1980), the ‘Rīdzene’ Hotel (1984) and the radio and TV complex at Zaķusala (1975 – 1987) was made possible by the participation of Valery Kadyrkov (1939 -1989), Director of ‘Latgiprogorstroy’ (Urban Construction Institute) since 1981.
