Tatyana Pavle (born Astashkevich; 1918-2016) was born in the family of teachers Alexandra and Ilya Astashkevich. From 1946 until the retirement worked at the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation, actively participated in archaeological excavations in Old Riga and was considered one of the leading experts in the Middle Ages.
